Today I will discuss another element of the Intel X58 motherboard: Triple-Channel Memory. But to fully understand the concept of this new system, firstly I \ 'm going to explain the basics of dual channel memory.
The technology of dual channel memory was created based on its predecessor, the single channel memory. This memory technology began by discussing the relationship between the memory controller and the processor, the processor would process the data and create orders, and the memory controller to regulate the flow of data and commands, and sends them to other components such as real memory (RAM) and other smaller components (IDE, USB, etc..) The memory technology Dual-Channel has been created to to meet the growing demands of processors. Now, instead of having one channel through the memory controller, there is now two, and for this reason, RAM can now follow the requirements of processors.
Now, because there are processors like Intel \ 's Core i7 technology with quad core and faster processing ridiculous, Intel had the technology to create memory triple channel. In simple terms, instead of having two channels as the dual-channel, there are now three, you can install a set of three memory modules into the motherboard and the motherboard will be more channels to push data and commands to other components.
So there you have it, the explanation of the Triple-Channel Memory! But how force us? Well, it won \ 't effect us right now, because dual-channel DDR3 memory is enabled can still follow the Core i7 \' s of processing speeds, in triple-channel memory is activated simply create a channel more than the processor will have when it needs more space for push data and commands. This technology, however, we will definitely effect the future, as manufacturers release process more high-speed processors and high-quality, dual-channel memory will be unable to follow the requirements of the new processors, and we will eventually move to triple-channel memory, and perhaps abandon dual channel memory as the old technology.
